The water industry is changing and we’re transforming it – that’s why we are investing over £2.5billion into construction projects over the next five years to improve the services we provide and the environment that we operate in. Our £565m Green Recovery programme will accelerate our environmental commitments and improve our resilience to meet customer needs and the challenge of climate change. We won’t just stop there – by 2030, we want to reach net zero and transform river quality as part of our Get River Positive pledges.

We want to innovate and transform what and how we deliver by putting digital and sustainability at the heart of everything we do. Would you like to join us as a Project Manager and help us do so? Are you looking to progress or gain new experience? Have you ever thought about working in Capital Delivery at Severn Trent –where you`ll inspire people and take full ownership of complex and high value projects?

Well, if you are, read on. This is your route to do it.

LET’S TELL YOU MORE

As our experienced Project Manager you`ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and safety of the project. You`ll be competent in managing the six aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources. You`ll drive the project plan and milestone delivery and act as the Process and Technical Lead for our Capital Delivery projects.

This role will be located in Finham with regular travel to sites in the south region.

Note: A full driving licence is essential due to the remote locations.

You’ll come equipped with confident communication and leadership skills, a proactive approach to working, excellent planning and organisation skills.

It would be preferred if you have previous experience of working in the construction or water industry. Although, don’t worry if you don’t have a background in the construction/utility sector – we welcome anyone with the relevant transferable skills and a can-do attitude with the relevant experience.

Ideally you`ll have APM or Prince 2 or an equivalent project management qualification. It would be great if you are NEC accredited however it`s not essential, as you can work towards it and we would be happy to support you throughout your journey.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Of course it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care… because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.

This role will require you to travel between sites so you`ll have full UK driving licence.
