About the team and role
Full-Stack Engineer
You will be part of GBG Loqate’s dynamic digital marketing team, helping to ensure activity is aligned across all channels and GBG Loqate continues to deliver best in class experiences to both existing and future customers. What you will do
- Develop and maintain new API endpoints and front-end features.
- Lead the development and deployment of website updates using Umbraco CMS.
- Produce high quality complex deliverables with minimal input and supervision.
- Architect and implement custom Umbraco components to meet business requirements.
- Participate in the development process from definition to deployment.
- Write, review and maintain code.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality full-stack code.
- Define and constantly improve the web architecture for our products.
- Optimise site performance, scalability and SEO through coding and content structure within Umbraco.
- Perform code reviews for team deliverables to ensure code follows documented standards and best practices.
- Advise on and manage the re-platforming of web applications when required.
- Help evolve system architecture to consistently improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on Umbraco ecosystem advancements, features and security patches.
- Server management including applying upgrades as and when needed in conjunction with the Cloud Infrastructure team.
- Oversee the integration of third-party APIs, services and systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure system coherence and scalability.
Skills we are looking for
- Experience as a full stack developer, with a strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
- Experience developing with Umbraco CMS.
- Fluency in full stack development.
- An understanding of SEO and best practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding and security best practices.
- Experience of cloud-based systems (Azure, AWS) would be highly desirable.
- Experience of other development systems and languages would be beneficial, e.g. GitHub, DevOps / pipelines, Docker, SQL, React, Angular, Lit, Web Components, SASS / LESS, NPM, Gulp.js.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions and drive best practice across the team.
- Excellent eye for detail and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with designers, project managers and stakeholders throughout the business.
