Our furniture is designed with real homes in mind, built to last with responsibly sourced materials. As Compliance and ESG Coordinator, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver on our promise of sustainability, quality and long-term value.
The role is located at our Swindon head office and offers hybrid working: two days in the office (Tuesday and Wednesday) and three days from home.
Reporting to our Compliance and Standards Specialist, this role supports both our ESG strategy and broader technical and compliance responsibilities. You will work across multiple departments and with external partners, including suppliers, technical experts, and regulators, to coordinate ESG initiatives, support responsible sourcing, enhance vendor performance, drive quality and ensure regulatory compliance.
You’ll also provide administrative, analytical and operational support to the wider team, playing a key role in embedding sustainability and compliance within the operational fabric of our business. This is a developmental role suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in sustainability, compliance and/or sourcing and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of our ESG strategy and ongoing development of key sustainability initiatives.
Collect, manage, and analyse ESG data (e.g. carbon, packaging, waste, raw materials) to monitor performance and identify areas for action.
Support preparation of ESG reports, dashboards, presentations and external disclosures.
Maintain and update supply chain and product ESG data, including supplier due diligence.
Build understanding of sustainable materials and support integration into product design.
Act as an internal advocate for ESG, supporting cross-functional engagement and training.
Coordinate relationships with external stakeholders,
Support development and rollout of ESG policies and communications.
Build knowledge of ethical trade and human rights issues to support risk mitigation and awareness across the business.

Technical, Compliance, Quality and Vendor Management

Support compliance with key regulatory requirements including:

UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) and EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)
Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) and Extended Producer Responsibility for Packaging (EPR)

Assist with compliance documentation and product testing coordination
Help analyse product and supplier data, including non-conformities and quality trends
Support product quality assurance activities and maintain appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Maintain and coordinate fault reporting processes and supplier performance tracking.
Coordinate our supplier ESG compliance programme, working with colleagues in the Far East, and supporting engagement through SEDEX.
Support the Compliance and Standards Specialist to manage supplier compliance programmes, including audit tracking, corrective action plans and vendor scorecards.

Quality, Compliance and ESG Team Support

Provide general administrative and operational support to the wider Quality, Compliance and ESG team, as required.
Help manage and prioritise team workload by maintaining tracking systems and reporting tools.
Support meeting scheduling, file management, and internal communications where required.

Skills and Experience:

A Diploma, Degree or technical qualification in a relevant discipline
Demonstrable interest and understanding of sustainability and ESG topics
Working knowledge of key ESG themes such as carbon accounting, ethical sourcing, circular economy, sustainable materials and regulatory frameworks
Previous experience in a sustainability, compliance or supply chain support role (retail or consumer goods experience highly desirable)
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PPT)
Strong organisational skills
