Read Write Inc.is the UK’s number one phonics programme – teaching 10 million children to read over the last 20 years.

Recruitment process

You need Qualified Teacher Status, a full driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

  6. Interviews – from week commencing 6th October 2025
    (consisting of group Teams call with a member of the Operations Team and an individual interview with Directors)

Responsibilities

Provide excellent training onRead Write Inc. programmes

Provide rigorous on-goingsupport for schools, to ensure all children learn to read

After eighteen months of coaching and support you will be able/expectedto:

  1. Work without the need of supervision – ensuringyourtrainer dashboard is always up to dateand every school has booked the right package of training and support (standard, termly or intensive).
  2. Teach anychild to readregardless of age, background or need.
  3. Provide a high standard of training, keeping up with the latest online training and films.
  4. Make the best use of practice and coaching to improve your teaching, tutoringand school supportduring PPA time.
  5. Support schools on Development Days andduring RemoteProgress Meetings, using theSchoolPortal,Online Assessmentandlatest documentation.
  6. Galvanise leaders and staff to focus on theirslowest progressreaders, challenging them to keep up all pupils from the very beginning.
  7. Keep leaders buoyant and help them find solutionsto overcome organisational barriers.
  8. Prepare diligentlybefore Development days andRemoteProgress Meetings, using the school’s half-termly data to provide leaders with clear next steps.
  9. Respond clearly, quickly and professionally to all internal and externalcommunication, includingemails and remote meeting links.
  10. Show evidence that in your schools, 90%+ children meet the requirements of the Phonics Screening Check in Year 1 and 100% in Y2 – as a direct result ofyouractions.

Skills and qualities

Essential:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status, full driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
  • Be an outstanding literacy teacher
  • Be able to engage and motivate teachers and leaders
  • Communicate clearly – orally and in writing
  • Work well in a team
  • Be able to plan and prioritise work
  • Be committed to personal and professional development

Desirable:

  • A good working knowledge ofRead Write Inc. programmes
  • Experience of teaching the programme as a class teacher or Reading Leader.
