The role

Huel has grown into a global business, with strong D2C, retail, and marketplace channels across international markets. But it all started in the UK—our original market and the foundation of our journey 10 years ago.

As our UK business matures, it is vital that we continue to stay one step ahead of a growing competitor set by giving our Hueligans a best-in-class experience. As we enter this new and exciting phase for our UK business, we are looking for a UK Digital Trading Manager to ensure we can deliver our commercial objectives.

You will be responsible for trading the uk.huel.com website; defining commercial activity then aligning business functions on its execution, providing insight and driving actions that improve performance, being ultimately responsible for delivering sales and profit targets all while maximising new customer conversion and LTV

With this being a brand new role for us, it’s a chance for you to come in and really take ownership of our UK digital trading processes and build a name for yourself at Huel! Here’s an insight into your day-to-day:

  • Responsible for constantly optimising the customer journey on the UK website and driving improvements to the overall customer experience

  • Acts as the go to person for any query related to the performance of the UK market

  • Accountable for defining and delivering the market activity plan coordinating the execution across channels. Including marketing campaigns, discounts & product launches

  • Responsible for driving the completion of reactive trade actions across teams

  • Works hand in hand with the performance marketing, partnerships and supply chain teams to drive efficiency across our cost base

  • Leads the agenda and discussion across the weekly and monthly UK trading touchpoints with the Huel SLT

  • Works with the Head of Trading & Optimisation to define the UK playbook for growth. Setting the roadmap of trading initiatives to grow revenue, profit, new customer # & repeat rate

  • Responsible for creating the benefit cases for UK trading initiatives. Works with Finance to model out activity to ensure profitability

  • Responsible for leading on their designated trading vertical at global level (product, profit, retention, UX)

  • Responsible for all market forecasting
    • Daily phasing

    • Monthly consensus planning

    • Yearly budgets

What we\’re looking for in you

This role would be best suited for someone with at least 4 years of experience working within digital trading roles,preferably with experience at a manager level, or experience in a subscription-based business. What\’s most important to us is that you bring a strong analytical and commercial background. We’re looking for someone with:

  • Leadership – Take full leadership of UK trading processes and actions across the business. Be a role model to the wider team and embody the Huel behaviours

  • Stakeholder Management – Consistently bring stakeholders together to align on approach, take on feedback and define measurements of success

  • Accountable – Be highly accountable for trading actions. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, but acknowledge when something hasn’t worked

  • Communication – Confidently and clearly communicate your ideas, plans and results. Accept feedback graciously and provide constructive feedback to support others

  • Commercial Awareness Able to back actions with data and logical thought process. Balancing sales, profit and customer experience
