Housing and Communities Manager – 6 Months – Hybrid, 2 days in office – Midlands
The role managers 4 team leaders and reports into the Head of Housing, Revenues and Customer Services.
The key duties of this role are;
- Manage the effective delivery of the Council\’s housing and communities services, aligning key work activities with other corporate and community priorities. To direct the day-to-day work of the team and foster a collaborative and productive environment.
- Lead on the delivery of the Housing and Communities Service Plan, including driving improvements through delivering on key projects around warm homes, updating our housing register and developing our approach to temporary accommodation.
- Lead our approach to ensuring housing and communities services comply with legislative and regulatory frameworks and maximise any funding available, including responding to emerging changes such as the implications of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance and assurance across housing and communities services, including monitoring performance against key KPIs.
- Support the Head of Housing, Revenues and Customer Services to ensure that the Council delivers excellent, customer-focused, value for money services, which best meet the needs of the public, are compliant and enhance public satisfaction
