Southfields Care Home, rated GOOD by CQC, provides exceptional support to older persons living with dementia, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.
Situated in a residential suburb in Northampton, it offers a wonderful living environment to enhance residents\’ quality of life.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is a regulated activity requiring a Children and Adults Barred List check. What will you be doing?
A Team Leader is part of the Management Team, responsible for promoting the rights and responsibilities of working-age adults with disabilities through service provision and development.
Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operation of a safe and comfortable environment for residents, supporting administrative, analytical, and financial tasks as assigned, and managing assessment and care plan development to meet individual needs.
Additional duties involve reviewing and updating care and team performance, delivering staff induction and ongoing training, contributing to service development, managing budgets, and promoting a customer voice and advocacy.
The role requires awareness of equal opportunities and understanding of diverse needs. Ensuring health and safety compliance and performing other duties within the scope of the job are also expected.
Working hours are 37 per week, with a mix of early and late shifts, and every other weekend off.
About you
You might be a shift lead seeking progression or a current Team Leader aiming to develop further. You should have previous care leadership experience and NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or similar.
We offer a 2.5-week induction and an additional 2-4 weeks \’Buddy Scheme\’ to support your settling-in process. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, requiring an enhanced DBS at our expense.
