About the opportunity:
We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well-established UK manufacturer and distributor with a strong industry reputation for quality and reliability. They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within a busy warehouse environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and play a key role in the efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Manage all warehouse logistics, including goods in/out and inventory control.
- Oversee forklift operations and maintain equipment standards.
- Ensure efficient space utilisation and stock placement.
- Perform regular stock checks and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support training of new staff and temps.
- Work closely with the Transport team on route planning when required.
- Uphold site cleanliness, safety, and compliance with H&S regulations.
- Check all outbound loads to ensure accuracy.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with high attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- FLT licence and full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Able to work overtime if needed
In return we are offering:
- A competitive salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
