We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to assist the Manager and Warehouse teams with the day to day running of the warehouse, ensure the receipt, inventory and reporting of all goods is accurate, packed goods ready for delivery are dispatched on time. This role is based in Hook, Hampshire, working five days a week Monday to Friday but with a requirement to work weekends / Bank holidays during busy periods.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan coordinate and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Manage, motivate, and give direction to a small team of warehouse operatives providing training, coaching and guidance where required.
- Ensure the Daily Delivery Tracker is maintained and updated.
- Ensure goods received into the warehouse are signed in; the stock system is updated, and Campaign Managers are advised of their receipt.
- Oversee and undertake the checking and inspection of goods received, ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality, ensure quantities match the Goods in Advice.
- Update and maintain Company asset management systems /registers.
- Plan the workload for your area of responsibility including setting out daily work plans.
- Liaise with Campaign Managers, Field Support Managers, Suppliers and Transport Companies.
- Contact courier companies to coordinate the dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Coordinate and support team members in undertaking tasks such producing store notices and delivery notes/ consignment labels using third party portals; loading and unloading goods, and contacting courier companies.
- Maintain, monitor and order warehouse stationery.
- Champion safe working practices, ensuring the warehouse is a clean safe warehouse working environment for all staff to work in, remove hazardous products from site in line with safety regulations.
- People management experience; able to support with staff training, development and engagement.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, dealing with different product types.
- Understanding of material / stock management techniques and inventory management control methods and procedures.
- Ability to plan the daily workload methodically prioritising and delegating tasks.
- Ability to lift and move boxes, heavy packages, and elements without difficulty, carry out operational tasks as required.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures); work in a methodical and tidy manner.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight operational deadlines.
- Good understanding of both the spoken and written English language.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and other specialist stock tracking software, third party portals) training will be provided.
- Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations and Guidelines. Honesty, reliability and an organised methodical ‘can do’ approach.
