Organisational Development Officer (Learning & Development) Maternity Cover – INTERNAL ONLY – Strand, London, WC2R 2LS THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY About us: Operating within HR, Organisational Development helps lead the institution in achieving its strategic aims of fostering a thriving and empowered King’s community. This is delivered through four key strategic contributions; leadership, learning and development, careers and talent, staff experience and engagement, and workplace culture and behaviour. To support our delivery of this, the Organisational Development team is seeking to recruit an Organisational Development Officer (Learning & Development) to support the administration, maintenance and appraisal of leadership, learning and development provision. About the role: Reporting into the Organisational Development Deputy Director, as well as having line management support from the Organisational Development Programme Manager (Leadership, Learning & Development), the post holder will be expected to provide exemplary administration and professional stakeholder management, as well as having the ability to deliver insightful reporting and insights. The main responsibilities for the post holder will include administrative oversight of all our learning and development portfolio, as well as providing the main point of contact with our external delivery partners. This will involve setting up courses, managing adverts, meeting all suppliers in person for our masterclasses and helping to coordinate and deliver programmes and events. In addition, there will be administrative support required around tracking and monitoring the Organisational Development budget, producing weekly and termly reports on course signs up and utilisation, as well as supporting activities and processes across our annual careers and talent offerings. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be a positive, motivated & engaged self-starter, who prides themselves on diligence and proactivity. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, individuality through collaboration, highly skilled administration, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement. This role is for somebody who can independently manage their own time and willing to work hard to create team success. This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 28/08/2026 or until the return of the substantive post holder. About you: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Experience of supporting development courses, programmes and activities throughout their whole life cycle. Comfortable in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external key stakeholders A track record of excellent administration, alongside managing systems and operational procedures Experience in collecting and analysing feedback, as well as producing detailed professional reports Knowledge of event or project management, from design through to delivery and evaluation. An understanding of delivering engaging and impactful communications to a variety of stakeholders Clear comprehension of MS packages alongside being digitally confident around enterprise systems. Desirable criteria Experience of working in Organisational Development or a staff development function A formal project management, communications or event management qualification Knowledge of budget management best practice or previous experience supporting budget holders.
