Job Description Payroll Specialist (Contract for 9-12 Months) Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid working model) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract Duration: July 2025 – June 2026 Exclusive Role via iMultiply Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and process improvement? We are now partnering with an exciting and rapidly growing business, and we are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support their Edinburgh-based team during a major payroll system transformation. This is a contract role offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation of a new ADP payroll system. You’ll join a well-established payroll team of four, led by a long-tenured Payroll Manager, and play a key role in managing the weekly payroll for 200–250 site-based employees. You’ll also support monthly payroll processes for overhead staff and assist with parallel runs and testing of the new system. Key Responsibilities – Process and import weekly timesheets into the payroll system – Liaise with regional teams to resolve discrepancies – Calculate and process statutory sick pay, holiday pay, and other entitlements – Respond to employee payroll queries via phone and email – Balance payroll and prepare reports using Excel – Upload pension contributions and process payroll deductions – Support monthly payroll tasks and assist with P11D/benefits in kind – Contribute to the parallel run and implementation of the new ADP system Skills Required – Proven experience in payroll administration – Strong Excel skills – Experience with P11Ds and benefits – A proactive, logical thinker with excellent attention to detail – A team player who is adaptable, approachable, and empathetic On Offer – Be part of a respected and long-standing organisation – Gain valuable experience during a major system transformation – Work in a supportive, experienced team in a collaborative environment – Hybrid working model with flexibility For further information, please feel free to get in touch with Maria Stathopoulou.
