We are seeking a passionate and strategic Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join our team at a busy Animal Shelter. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to promote our animal shelter’s mission, increase community awareness, and drive adoption rates. This role is pivotal in connecting with potential pet adopters, donors, and volunteers to ensure our shelter continues to thrive.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the non-profit or animal welfare sector.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including social media, SEO, and email marketing.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design and marketing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Experience with all breeds of dogs
- 5 years+ in social media marketing
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop Marketing Strategies : Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans that align with the shelter’s goals and objectives, focusing on raising awareness and increasing adoptions.
- Content Creation : Generate engaging content for various platforms, including social media, website, email newsletters, and printed materials that highlight our animals, programs, and upcoming events.
- Social Media Management : Oversee the shelter\’s social media accounts, creating captivating posts, responding to inquiries, and engaging with our community to build a loyal online following.
- Event Planning : Plan and coordinate fundraising events, adoption drives, and community outreach programs to enhance visibility and engagement within the community.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including animal care, volunteer coordination, and finance, to ensure marketing efforts support overall organizational goals.
- Analytics and Reporting : Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing efforts, providing regular reports to assess effectiveness and guide future strategies.
- Brand Management : Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and channels.
