As a Workshop Manager, you will be accountable for leading technicians on the workshop floor, overseeing the management and performance of the Denver maintenance operation, and ensuring service quality and compliance with standards. You will promote safe working practices, improve daily operations, and ensure paperwork is completed to a high standard, maintaining high quality standards for our customers.
A snapshot of your responsibilities:
- Coaching and leading the team: Take responsibility for quality, efficiency, safety, and resources; motivate and develop team members.
- Managing work packages: Implement TCR processes using SAP; manage resources, stock, and planning; track progress; assist with data visibility and inspections.
- Supporting team members: Provide technical instruction and knowledge transfer for professional development.
- Participating in coordination: Work with departments, customers, and suppliers; communicate operational information and advise on vehicle availability.
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to setting quality metrics, propose procedural improvements, and investigate technical enhancements to reduce costs and improve availability.
- Technical responsibilities: Perform tasks specific to technicians, with associated authorities and responsibilities.
- Workshop administration: Oversee work orders, invoicing, and time management within the unit.
- Safety leadership: Drive safety culture and initiatives to improve safety performance and OHS management.
Qualifications and qualities we seek:
- Technical expertise in GSE maintenance and repair (preferred): mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, air systems, refrigeration.
- Ability to make complex decisions under pressure, stress resistance, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
