Fox Wood School has an exciting opportunity available for a health care assistant who would enjoy workingwithin a school setting with children and young people with additional needs.
Ideally this post would suit aperson with a level 2 qualification in health, education or child care, and previous experience of workingwith children with medical and special needs.
We have a permanent 8.30am – 3.30pm, term time only, post available for a health care assistant withexperience of working with children with special needs, who can work well in a team and is committed tothe wellbeing of children.
The post holder will have the ability to assess a situation and act appropriately; to communicate wellverbally and in writing; to implement previous learning into practice; to demonstrate reflective practice andto be organised and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, working as part of a special schoolclass team.
Basic IT skills are also required to ensure the records are updated in an accurate and timely manner.
Previous experience in clinical care is desirable, as the post holder will be hands on providing gastrostomyfeeds, as the children and young people have complex medical needs and/or life limiting conditions.
Fulltraining will be given to the successful candidate by Bridgewater NHS Health Professionals who support ourpupils and staff across school.
