Taylor & Francis Group have an exciting and business-critical opportunity for aAssociate Tagging & Tools Managerto join our Marketing Analytics Team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can help unlock the full potential of our web analytics technology. You will be pivotal in testing and implementing our measurement roadmap, optimising Google Tag Manager setups, and supporting marketers through cookie consent management changes.

What you\’ll be doing

  • Support the design and implementation of Google Tag Manager containers across the company. Understand marketing data needs and create tags to help them understand the events they need to service those needs. Ensure consistency and quality across the company\’s GTM containers
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager and agencies to implement the measurement roadmap, our considered and strategic approach to Google Tag Manager across the business. Audit our GTM implementation, suggest improvements and amend tags, triggers and variables
  • Make changes and improvements to tagging for web analytics tools, including Google Analytics, HotJar and Contentsquare
  • Ensure marketing tags and scripts in Google Tag Manager are configured correctly, efficiently, and in compliance with GDPR and cookie regulations
  • Test releases, monitor results and quickly identify and resolve bugs
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager in training marketers on the use of web analytics tools
  • Create comprehensive documentation of changes and improvements, to help communicate changes to marketers and improve processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing Analytics, wider Marketing, RAD, product and technology teams on Google Tag Manager implementation, usage and improvements

Qualifications

Essential experience

  • Creating tags, triggers and variables in Google Tag Manager, especially Google 360 accounts
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)

Skills priorities

  • Internal communication and stakeholder management
  • A love of learning – this is a constantly evolving technical and legal landscape – and problem solving
  • Project management, time management, prioritisation, collaboration with colleagues and partners
  • An ability to describe technical concepts in layman\’s terms and to add technical precision to requests from non-technical marketers

Desired experience

  • Use of Google Analytics 4 for reporting on marketing performance
  • Basics of JavaScript
  • Knowledge of other analytics tools, such as HotJar and Contentsquare
  • Understanding of GDPR, consent management and cookie handling
  • Understanding of performance marketing, ecommerce or lead generation
  • Experience with server-side Google Tag Manager

Additional Information

Location:The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working/hybrid working model which offers the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of either our Milton Park, Abingdon office OR our London Blackfriars office to ensure that they can make it to an office for the remaining 3 days per week.
