We are Teledyne Energetics UK, part of the wider Teledyne UK group, who have been designing and developing solutions for the safety, arming, and initiation technology sector since 1984.

What You\’ll be Involved in

As an Inspector at Teledyne Energetics, you will be an essential part of our business support team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the incoming materials and products manufactured and supplied meet and exceed customer requirements whilst maintaining quality inspection records.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Inspection of incoming components and outgoing product.

  • Complete precise measurements and detailed inspection to ensure components and product meet specifications.

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections.

  • Defect reporting and administration of non-conformance reporting.

  • Maintain quality inspection dashboard.

  • Assist Quality Manager with resolution of non-conformances and corrective actions.

What We\’re Looking for in You

The successful candidate will have experience with a wide range of measuring tools and equipment, and a good understanding of technical drawings, gained ideally within an engineering/technical product environment. Strong communication skills are also needed to ensure good interactions with the internal and external teams.

Other desirable skills and experience include:

  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Experience of measuring parts and components using manual equipment such as: verniers, Calipers, Micrometer, thread gauges etc

  • Operation of CMM.

  • Experience of electronic assembly inspection including printed circuit boards.

  • Parts / stock management experience using ERP / MRP software, preferably SAP.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high accuracy at all times.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to gain full UK Security clearance once in the business.
