About the role

As a Customer Assistant in one of our John Lewis shops, you\’ll ensure our difference is felt through outstanding customer service and exceptional in-store experiences that set us apart from competitors. Alongside great service, you\’ll maintain high shop standards through displays, stock availability, and cleanliness. Knowing your customers enables you to provide the best service and build their loyalty with our brand for a lifetime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Use your product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
  • Proactively acknowledge and understand customer needs, resolving queries effectively.
  • Support the wider team with till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and shop-keeping tasks.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Support with accurate stock counts to help protect our profits.

Essential skills/experience you\’ll need

  • Basic IT literacy.
  • Strong communication skills.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

  • Experience in a customer-facing role (training provided if not).
  • Merchandising and product displays experience.

28 hours of part-time work across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.
