UKR Group is looking for 2x experienced Shuttering Carpenters to start ASAP in a job in Sloane Square, South West London.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret construction drawings and blueprints to create formwork for concrete structures, specifically ground beams and columns.
  • Construct, erect, install, and dismantle temporary formwork and shuttering systems to support concrete until it sets.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, and other materials for formwork structures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work complies with current building codes, health and safety regulations, and site-specific risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with site engineers, steel fixers, and concrete workers to ensure formwork aligns correctly with reinforcement and design specifications.
  • Inspect completed shuttering prior to concrete pour and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any faults to the site supervisor.
  • Adhere to project timelines and quality standards, ensuring minimal waste of materials.
Skills:
  • Proven carpentry and joinery skills, with a strong focus on shuttering and formwork.
  • In-depth understanding of concrete behaviour and structural support requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and formwork plans.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices and site safety procedures.
  • Teamworking skills and the ability to liaise effectively with other trades.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions, at height or in confined spaces if required.
Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
