Required

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, English, and Science.
  • Level 3 qualifications (A-levels, BTEC, or T Levels) in Maths or Science-related subjects.
  • Strong interest in engineering and the built environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop both academically and professionally.
  • Some prior experience or exposure to construction or engineering projects (e.g., through work experience or coursework).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or CAD software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects such as highways, bridges, drainage, and infrastructure.
  • Support senior engineers in site surveys, data collection, and reporting.
  • Use CAD software to produce technical drawings and plans.
  • Contribute to environmental and risk assessments.
  • Attend site visits and support construction teams with technical information.
  • Monitor project progress and help ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, and contractors.
  • Support the Planning team in collation and review of progress data for both short-term and long-term planning.
