What You\’ll Be Studying: Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (Level 3)

About the Role
As an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll undertake a structured training programme combining academic study with practical, on-the-job experience. Under the guidance of an experienced Mentor, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to support our engineering department and grow into a future leader in maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out basic repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and pipes
Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Complete checklists and maintenance records
Learn and assist with more complex mechanical tasks
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Use hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, grinders) and test equipment
Understand engineering science and technology principles
Prioritise safety and identify workplace hazards
Use basic computer software (Word, Excel)
Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
What We’re Looking For
GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or A Levels
Basic computer literacy )
Interest in manufacturing and maintenance
Exposure to mechanical or engineering environments
Year 1:2 days per week at Cambridge Regional College, 3 days per week on-site in Huntingdon
Years 2 & 3:1 day per week at college, 4 days per week on-site
