Are you interested in a KS1 Teaching Assistant role? We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our leading primary schools for the new term. You will support a small group of SEN students, involving sensory play and PECS. As a nurturing KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will deliver excellent support to these children and liaise with other educational professionals.

The ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

KS1 Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Experience working directly with young people in an educational or training environment, supporting their learning.
