What this job involves – We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician Facility Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems in commercial and industrial buildings managed by JLL. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal performance of building systems.
What is the day to day?
- Install, maintain, and repair various HVAC systems, including air handling equipment, air filters, refrigeration systems, DX systems, process chillers, comfort chillers, heat exchangers, boilers, VAV systems, electrical systems, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.
- Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functioning of all systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing filters, belts, and parts to ensure efficient system operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC and other mechanical equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in HVAC and related systems using various testing equipment and methods. Install and repair plumbing, piping, and tubing; wire single and three-phase motors; run conduit; and install and rebuild pumps, motors, and air compressors.
- Manage refrigerants in compliance with state and EPA requirements, including maintaining accurate usage and inventory records.
- Perform air balancing and monitor differential pressure (DP) in air handling systems. Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for HVAC units and pumps. Conduct routine facility repairs, including sheetrock work, patching, caulking, painting, lock repair, and piping.
- Operate and maintain building automation systems (BAS), preferably Siemens or Honeywell. Estimate costs and order materials for repairs and maintenance projects.
- Comply with policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain compliance with state, county, and city ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
Desired experience and technical skills –
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Universal EPA certification (Refrigeration) required.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial/commercial HVAC and facilities maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of various HVAC systems, controls, and building automation systems.
- Proficiency in using digital diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practice regulations and documentation skills for regulatory compliance.
- Proficient with computer-based systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Qualified to operate man lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and wear respirators.
- Valid driver\’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred
- Vocational training or associate\’s degree in HVAC technology
- Experience with Siemens or Honeywell BAS systems
Work Environment
- Monday to Friday daytime hours, with 24-hour availability for emergencies.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors in all weather.
- May require working in high places, confined spaces, and off lifts and scaffolds.
- Must be able to perform work wearing various types of personal protective equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces.

Estimated total compensation for this position:
65,000.00 – 75,000.00 USD per year
