Temp to Perm Immediate start

Are you a newly qualified HGV Driver looking to join a respected logistics operator that supports their team members career growth with on-going training and support? Or are you already an experienced truck driver, looking to try something new that may lead to a consistent permanent, secure position should you enjoy it?

Our well-respected client in Uddingston specialises in fresh and frozen food services, picking up cages from one of the UKs largest supermarkets.

They are looking for an additional night shift driver to start immediately, who will be responsible for driving a Cat C+E double-decker from Uddingston to East Kilbride where you will assist with loading cages, continue on to Cairnryan to meet another HGV for trailer swap, then head back to East Kilbride to unload cages, then back to Uddingston.

This role would suit you if you love driving on the open road when its at its quietest!

Pay rate during temporary period whilst with Driver Hire (paid weekly):

  • £18.00 per hour for experienced Cat C+E drivers.
  • £15.95 per hour for newly qualified applicants. Training will be provided by shadowing one of their current permanent drivers.

Salary upon successful completion of temp-perm period:

  • £38,000 per annum + bonus

Hours / Shift pattern:

  • 9.30pm start approx. 5.00am-7.00am finish
  • 5 nights over 7, between Sunday Friday

About you:

  • Valid HGV licence (Class 1 C+E)
  • Up to date Driver CPC and tacho card
  • Reliable, and willing to work the night shifts
  • Use of handheld scanners and completion of paperwork required for this role, so youll be confident and able to do this
  • Immediate start available for the right applicant
