We are holding a Recruitment Day on 14th July 2025 at FEDCAP, Ground Floor, Guildhall House, Guildhall Street, Preston, PR1 3NU
We’re hiring now for the following positions:
- Customer Assistants (£12.75 up to £13.65 per hour)
Our recruitment day takes place between 10am and 3pm with a face-to-face interview.
On the day, please bring:
- Your eligibility to work in the UK documentation (full list provided with your invitation)
- Bank details (your own name must be listed)
- National Insurance Card or number
- A P45 form from your previous employer
- Dates of pre-booked holidays
- A proof of address (driving license, Council tax bill, etc.)
As a Lidl Customer Assistant, no two shifts are the same. From restocking shelves to operating tills, you’ll keep moving, keep business thriving, and never be bored. You’ll take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store, working closely with colleagues and ensuring excellent customer service. Opportunities to specialize in areas like Freshness, Non-Food, or Bakery are also available.
In return, we offer a competitive salary based on equal opportunity pay structures, plus:
- £2.00 extra per hour for work during bank holidays
- £3.50 extra per hour for night shifts

Our store recruitment days last approximately 1 hour and include a store tour and interview. Remember to bring your right to work documentation (passport, share code, etc.).
Additional Responsibilities
- Help customers with questions, queries, and requests
- Work efficiently with deliveries arriving in store
- Proactively keep the bakery stocked with fresh goods
- Merchandise and maintain non-food products in the middle aisles
