WOOD MACHINIST
MONDAY – FRIDAY: 07:30 – 16:30
£14.00 PER HOUR
People Solutions have an exciting opportunity to join our client who is a well-established company in Wigan, looking for Wood Machinists.
You need to be motivated and driven and have the desire to learn new skills.

Day to Day Duties
- Cutting of raw materials to specifications.
- Using machinery and tools and ensuring that all products meet the required specifications
- Using maths skills to follow specification sheets
- Setting up and operating machinery
- Keeping records and maintaining equipment
- Adept with use of power tools (saw, bench saw, multi-rip saw)
- Maintaining health and safety guidelines
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Advanced attention to detail
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Maths skills
- Previous experience using hand and power tools
- Experience as working as a machine operator is required, ideally working with wood
Training
- Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
