Job summary

As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing advisory services on various people matters as part of the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team. Your expertise and guidance will enable businesses to align their strategies with their people, fostering success and growth. You will work closely with our stakeholders, building strong relationships and coaching leaders to ensure the delivery of people objectives and consistent HR practices.
In addition, you will take the lead on people projects and work streams, collaborating with HR managers and the leadership team to drive key initiatives such as talent management, performance management, and employee engagement. Your contribution will also involve supporting the Graduate Management Training Scheme team, monitoring and reviewing academic performance to guarantee successful completion.
This exciting opportunity is on a 12-month fixed term basis.

Main duties of the job
As an HR Advisor in this role, you will have the opportunity to provide an exceptional advisory service to HRSS stakeholders, offering guidance on various people-related matters. Your role will play a crucial part in helping client organisations achieve their strategic goals through effective people management.
You will be empowered to take a solution-focused and proactive approach, using evidence-based methods to provide valuable advice. From recruitment to discipline, grievance handling, change management, and more, you will be a trusted resource for HRSS customers, assisting them in navigating these areas successfully. By building strong relationships with HRSS customers, you will support and coach leaders, ensuring the delivery of people objectives and maintaining consistent HR practices throughout the organisation.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead people projects and work streams in collaboration with HR leaders, allowing you to contribute to key initiatives such as performance management, and engagement, ultimately driving positive outcomes for both the organisation and its employees.

Job responsibilities
The HR Advisor is responsible for the provision of a quality HR service that is focused on supporting our customers to achieve outcomes in line with their vision, purpose, priorities and objectives. This is a customer facing role so a commercial and customer focused approach is essential.
In this role you are accountable for:
- Providing advice on the practical application of people policies and procedures
- Partnering line managers on a range of complex people related issues in line with Agenda for Change and current employment legislation
- Supporting managers in the case management of a range of complex issues including matters relating to disciplinary, grievance, performance, attendance management, bullying and harassment etc
- Partnering managers in the design and delivery of change programs including changes to terms and conditions of employment, business reorganisation and TUPE
- Support in the development of products and services which meet customer requirements
- Lead on the delivery of customer engagement initiatives and promote products and services to existing and new customers
To be successful in this role you will:
