My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle under Lyme area. They are looking for a 3D CAD Engineer to join them ASAP on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models using SolidWorks software and creating order-specific part files from models using DriveWorks software.
This is an exciting time to join their thriving business who have recently experienced significant investment in the growth and in the facility to ensure market leading customer quality and innovation.
You will be responsible for:
- Generating customer order parts using 3D Solidworks
- Operation of DriveWorks
- Use tooling software to program Punch Machines
- Implementing changes in 3D models to aid production
- Liaising with various departments
- Communicating with the sales department, external suppliers and customers
- Ordering of any job specific internal parts that may be required
You will have:
- Solidworks experience
- DriveWorks experience (desirable)
- Door manufacturing (desirable)
- A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production (desirable)
