At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the worlds leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Lead Quality Engineer to be based at our customers site in Gaydon.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.


The Role:


As a Lead Quality Engineer, you\’ll play a pivotal role in driving the resolution of propulsion system quality projects. You\’ll lead collaborative working groups composed of subject matter experts, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to identify root causes and implement innovative solutions.

You will lead quality improvement projects to enhance our propulsion systems, through forming and leading diverse working groups and ensuring collaboration among experts and stakeholders. You will also be utilising state-of-the-art testing facilities, materials, and metrology laboratories to diagnose and resolve quality issues.

Working across multiple technical fields you will gain diverse experience and skills, from electronics (fuel system control modules, exhaust sensors, fuel level sensors, and pressure sensing) to mechatronic (fuel pumps) and hydraulic systems and mechanical components

Key Responsibilities:


Accountable for problem definition, issue replication testing, root cause confirmation and managing the

Implementation of containments into production and service environments

Responding to escalated dealer technical assists

Warranty analysis to support project prioritisation and field service action justification

Technical investigation support on issues with a safety/legislative implication

Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Resolution of quality projects at pace

Warranty cost mitigation

Warranty analysis for commodity


Knowledge, skills & experience:


Experienced in problem solving for complex technical engineering issues

Degree qualified (engineering/technical apprenticeships/equivalent engineering work experience)

Formal structure six sigma problem solving training

Warranty data analytics and statistics

Ability to deliver presentations to all relevant stakeholders including senior leaders

Project management with demonstrated evidence of cross functional co-ordination capability with all stakeholders

Background in powertrain systems, electronic and mechanical systems
