Job Purpose and Summary

Canon UK&I are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced Account Director to join our innovative and highly successful Public Sector team within the Workspace division of Canon UK. The Account Director (Local Government) is the focal point for large new business opportunities as well as being the main conduit between the Canon organisation and our fantastic customers.

The role is to develop and exploit business opportunities, through focused and strategic new business activity and cross selling the Canon portfolio of products and solutions to gain new client accounts. This will include the strategic engagement, growth, profitability and services budget, and ultimate responsibility of the relevant named accounts within the sector.

Through building excellent internal and external customer relationships, managing resources and being a strong ambassador for Canon from order to delivery, you will have all the resources available to you to be successful and financially rewarded on your sales successes

The Account Director will develop and maintain long term relationships with key influencers within organisations and industry bodies that can support the on-going success of the account.

The Account Director will be able to operate at the very highest level in strategic accounts within the local government sector and be credible in delivering visionary insight into new offerings and innovative service lines.

We are seeking those who are driven to meet and exceed their personal targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and are strategic in their approach to selling value propositions including products, solutions and professional services to prospects and customers within a specified vertical. You will also be driven to create and implement Customer Account Plans in line with market and target, utilising relevant sales methodology.

To help you to achieve your objectives, you will use the sales tools available and optimise the use of social media as part of your marketing strategies. It is vital to constantly develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and enhance the growth of new accounts.
