JOB TITLE: Security Controller – PT REPORTING TO: Aviation Security (AvSec) Compliance Lead DEPARTMENT: Security SALARY: £26,030 for 28 hour week HOURS OF WORK: 28 hours per week contract on an 8-hour shift system (3 on 3 off including early and late shifts) Job Purpose: – Assist with the implementation of the UK National Aviation Security Programme and ensure that the Companys responsibilities under legislation are fully complied with. – Assist with safeguarding the aerodrome and civil aviation operations against unlawful interference, by providing a regular review of security needs. – Maintain the Aerodrome Security Programme in accordance with relevant directives and to ensure the appropriate development of systems, protocols and instructions. – Manage the daily function and activities of the Security and Passes department. Essential criteria: A minimum of 6 months Aviation security experience. OR GSO (level 1) trained and current Full current Driving License. A minimum of 2 years experience working in a regulatory/legislative environment Liaising with third parties in relation to the development, implementation and achievement of requirements and standards Preparing detailed written and computerised reports Efficient record keeping both manually and computerised Dealing with wide range of audiences Microsoft Office (in particular word, excel, powerpoint) or equivalent Working knowledge of computerised systems in an office environment Airport Security Procedures Aviation Regulations regulations i.e. Civil Aviation Authority, Department for Transport.
