Infrastructure Engineer – North East (3 days on site) – Salary £45-£50,000 plus benefits We are seeking a proactive and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance the internal IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimising the hardware, software, networks, and systems that support internal operations to ensure high availability, performance and security across our internal environments. Key accountabilities Design, install, and maintain internal infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and vitalisation environments Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource usage; proactively address potential issues Manage on-premise and co-located infrastructure, including backups and disaster recovery plans Administer and secure Windows servers, file systems, and access controls, including management of OS patching and server updates Oversee corporate networks (LAN/WAN/VPN), firewalls, switches, and routers Ensure infrastructure aligns with business continuity, security, and compliance standards Implement automation and configuration management tools Manage internal tools such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and email systems Support employee workstations, software provisioning, and user permissions Document infrastructure configurations, processes…
