We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Transport & Development Planner to join our Highways and Transportation Division. Through our rotational graduate programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple teams, contributing to high-profile projects that directly influence the lives of Kent’s residents, communities and businesses.
What you’ll be doing
– Help to shape developments, plans and strategies to deliver new highways and transport infrastructure and services across Kent
– Undertake projects to review and improve policies and processes in transport and development planning in collaboration with stakeholders
– Assess planning applications for new developments and provide recommendations to local planning authorities
– Rotate across key service areas, gaining a view of how transport planning supports the Council’s strategic goals
– Represent the Highway Authority, building your confidence and communication skills in a professional setting
– Develop your expertise through structured project work, while working toward the Associate Project Manager apprenticeship
