Financial Accountant – Hybrid
Location: Ashton, UK

The Financial Accountant is a key role in the EMEA Controllership group ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, driving continuous improvement in our processes and our controls.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of scheduled Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, including analysis and insight into what is driving the numbers.
- Support the process of financial reporting to Group, through the OneStream consolidation system.
- Support the fixed assets accounting process.
- Supporting VAT reporting process.
- Monitor and coordinate specific month end (and year-end) activities per Month End Close Timetable.
- Understand overall closing schedule and assignment of tasks during the close and their respective deadlines and dependencies.
- Support the performance of the year-end processes including providing relevant information to external auditors.
- Support purchase ledger team with payment runs and open PO reviews.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of SAP, Oracle or other ERP system
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict reporting deadlines
- Ability to take an analytical approach with good attention to detail
- Tenacity and curiosity to dig deeper
- Excellent communication skills
