Senior Process Chemist job opportunity for a leading fine chemicals manufacturer based in the North East. Job Opportunity Senior Process Chemist (Organic) Company: International fine chemicals manufacturer based in the Teesside area, working on the development of organic compounds working from pilot plant through to multi-tonne scale. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (40 hours per week) Some flexibility in hours is available. Why join? Salary: £45k+ depending on skills and experience You will be involved in: Developing new and existing synthetic chemistry processes from pilot plant through to plant scale. Project managing processes to ensure delivery of products within agreed timeframes and budgets. Working with QC, Engineering, HAZOP and procurement teams to ensure H&S, compliance and smooth running of projects. Overseeing and troubleshooting the manufacture of compounds at production scale and working with operators on new SOPs . Carrying out data analysis to monitor performance and carrying out corrective action where necessary. What do you need to be considered? You will need: Chemistry qualification at degree level or above (ideally MSC or PhD). At least 3 years industrial experience carrying out synthetic organic chemistry at pilot and plant scale. Knowledge of scale-up/tech transfer and working on a plant facility. Excellent problem solving, communication and time management skills. Data analysis skills (using excel, Matlab or other statistical packages). Interested?
