Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Trainee Mortgage Adviser at Nottingham Building Society: –
- Deliver on our society’s goals while ensuring full compliance with Terms & Conditions.
- Actively promote loyalty offers to existing customers to help exceed retention targets.
- Provide exceptional mortgage support for re-mortgages, porting, further advances, and variations—all within lending policies.
- Keep sales records, customer accounts, and management info accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with Mortgage Operations teams to create smooth, positive customer journeys.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, following Consumer Duty Principles and meeting service standards.
- Spot, report, and manage operational and compliance risks to protect the business.
- Always follow Health & Safety and Compliance guidelines in everything you do.
About you: –
- Strong knowledge of Society lending policies, MCOB, Consumer Duty, and Data Protection to ensure compliance.
- Deep understanding of our mortgage products—and competitors’—to help grow our business.
- Confident user of Society systems and familiar with the entire mortgage and house-buying process.
- Proven track record in sales and customer service, ideally with mortgage advice experience.
- Excellent communicator with top-notch phone skills, able to thrive in a non-face-to-face environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage large caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Professional, enthusiastic, and skilled negotiator who works well both independently and in a team.
- Proficient with MS Office and comfortable working across multiple systems.
