Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Folkestone. This is an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 and gain valuable experience in a rewarding educational setting. The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SEN department to support students\’ academic progress, emotional well-being, and classroom engagement. This may include: Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Helping to deliver tailored interventions and differentiated tasks. Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support. Contributing to students’ overall development both academically and socially. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, or voluntary roles welcome). A genuine interest in education and supporting young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
