Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator for our client based in Middlesbrough.
Responsibilities for Machine Operator
Set up machinery for operation – laser and press machines
Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
Operate machinery and equipment according to guidelines
Troubleshoot issues and perform simple maintenance
Perform quality control, detailed reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Clean machinery and maintain a clean work space
Qualifications for Machine Operator
Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience is required, preferred 2 years minimum
Must be able to read and work from detail drawings when required
Good understanding of production
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team
Ability to lone work if required
Independent and can be left to work
Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
Willingness to work in shifts
