The Opportunity
An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ college in Greater Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Technician to join their Electrical & Engineering department on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a vital role for anyone who enjoys supporting practical teaching, keeping workshops well-organised and safe, and helping students develop their technical skills for industry.
Role Responsibilities
- Tool & Equipment Management: Order, organise, and maintain tools and equipment, mix and move materials, and ensure all resources are available for practical sessions.
- Health & Safety: Ensure workshops are compliant with Health & Safety regulations at all times, creating a safe learning environment for students and staff.
- Student Support: Assist lecturers with student supervision during practical classes, provide guidance when needed, and demonstrate correct use of equipment.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Electrical Engineer to at least Level 2 , with relevant industry experience
- Applications also welcomed from candidates with related trade experience at Level 2 or above
- Strong practical skills, organisational ability, and a keen eye for maintaining safe working environments.
