Central Functions provide a variety of core business services and technology solutions that underpin the operational and regulatory capabilities of the Society. The Finance and People domains within Central Functions have extensive and exciting portfolios of change planned, which has created an opportunity for an EPM Technical Analyst to join the team and contribute to the ongoing development of the Society’s strategic EPM solution, Board.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated EPM Technical Analyst to help Nationwide’s Central Functions Engineering & Architecture team realise its strategic outcomes through IT change and innovation.

What you’ll be doing

As we operate a flexible team structure the key responsibilities for the position will reflect the skill set of the successful applicant and will include:

  • Use your expertise and experience to analyse business requirements; converting them into technical requirements, estimate delivery, and ultimately develop resilient, secure and performant solutions on the Board EPM platform.
  • Enhancing and maintaining robust controls.
  • Data management and exploitation.
  • Working with architecture to ensure coherent design principles applied.
  • Working with Board and other 3rd parties to ensure on-going best practice applied to development.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience of developing EPM systems such as Board or a market equivalent EPM tool
  • Experience with multi-dimensional systems
  • Experience of managing complex data sets
  • A pro-active approach to managing workload & projects along with the ability to deal with and prioritise conflicting demands
  • A background in shared services such as Finance or Human Resources Management
  • A track record of development across a variety of projects, ideally in Financial Services, or other similar regulated sectors
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
