** THIS POSITION IS EXCLUSIVELY WITH NI JOBS** Your New Team & Role: The Team at OHanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd have promoted the company to one of Northern Irelands long established Electrical & Building Contractors with over 40 years of valuable experience within numerous sectors, including the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Construction sectors, throughout Ireland & UK. OHanlon & Farrell is seeking to recruit a COMPANY ACCOUNTANTinto a permanent, full-time position based in Newry, The role will encompass responsibility for all the administrative, control and reporting functions within the Finance department. You will play a key role within the company and report directly to the Managing Director. Key Responsibilities include: Leadership, Management & Support of the Finance Function Preparation & Presentation of Monthly Project Financial Performance Work with Quantity Surveyor Team to Monitor Project Valuations Preparing Ad Hoc Finance reports Review of all Payments (incl. Payroll, Supplier & Subcontractors Payments) Quarterly Divisional Management Accounts (incl. Reconciliations) Year End Management Accounts (incl. Audit Pack) Cashflow Management & Budget/Forecast Preparation Working closely with your Finance Team & Managing Director on all key financial aspects of reporting within the business Adhering to all internal finance deadlines On site coordinator & first point of contact for Sage IT Support Develop in-house efficiencies, process improvements, reporting systems & improve internal controls/procedures (including introduction & implementation of new systems) Statutory Government returns ie. Vat, RCT & CIS Being the first point of contact for external bodies, ie. Auditors etc. What youll Need (Experience): Experienced Qualified Accountant (ie. CIMA, ACA, ACCA) A minimum of 5 years experience within a busy Finance function where you have managed others Business Experienced with strong Controls & Procedures Be Self-motivated and Results orientated Excellent systems skills including a strong grasp of Excel.
