Suitable candidates are sought for the above vacancy for Support for Learning Assistant to work in Kirkwall Grammar school. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues and parents.
We require candidates to have experience in working with young people and to be committed to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.
To be appointed at Grade D:
Applicants should have a good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy, and be willing to achieve an SCQF level 5 qualification, e.g., SVQ2, NC or PDA, in a relevant subject area within 3 years of appointment.
To be appointed at Grade E:
Applicants should have a good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy and hold an SCQF level 5 qualification, e.g., SVQ2, NC or PDA in a relevant subject area.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
