You’ll be working closely with the NNB vetting teams, making sure new staff are fully cleared and ready to get on-site — and fast. Key Responsibilities: As our Onboarding and Vetting Officer, you’ll be a key player in our pre-employment program. From the moment a candidate enters our system to the moment they step onto site, you’ll be driving the process forward with professionalism and precision. You’ll be inputting accurate data into our WIMS system You’ll liaise with applicants to request and gather vetting documents and information You’ll be collating and checking all required information for the HPC pre-employment screening, using our in-house portal You’ll submit completed vetting cases to NNB for approval via WIMS You’ll manage the onboarding process to ensure staff are ready to work as quickly and efficiently as possible You’ll process DBS checks and verifying ID to meet legal standards You’ll keep a tight grip on document management and ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date and compliant You’ll monitor vetting records and ensuring qualifications remain current You’ll identify existing NSV clearances and handling transfer requests when required What You’ll Bring to the Role: We’re after someone who is not only organised and diligent but who can also work under pressure and stay calm when things get busy. You’ll need to be a confident communicator and someone who’s comfortable working across systems and with multiple teams. You have a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience You’re CITB HS&E Operators Certified You have a proven track record in high-quality administration, ideally in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment You have experience of vetting (but not a requirement) The ability to hold NSV clearance (if required) You have strong IT skills and experience using administrative systems You have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion You’re able to work to tight deadlines while juggling multiple tasks What we offer: We know that great people do great work when they’re supported, valued, and inspired.
