As a Global Sourcing & Production Lead for COS, you will have an end-to-end accountability for the productflow, from product idea to order shipment in a direct workflow with suppliers, ensuring all of our pillars (quality, price, sustainability, fashion and fit) are met. You will co-create a supplier portfolio strategy that fits the department collection needs. Collaborating with stakeholders across Buying, Design and Production, you will secure integrated workflows and partnerships across our teams – directly to supplier.
What you will do:
- Co-develop the global supplier portfolio strategy in collaboration with the Heads of Buying and the Global Senior Merchandising Manager.
- Identify and secure suppliers that meet COS’s quality and sustainability standards and co-create a new quality flow with the supply chain team to encourage supplier ownership of quality performance.
- Build strong, long-term supplier partnerships through close collaboration, performance evaluation, and shared goals.
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of global purchasing strategies to ensure best-in-class pricing, timely delivery, and optimal product quality.
- Ensure a streamlined, efficient workflow that connects suppliers directly with the collection team, integrating all steps from product development to shipment.
- Maintain transparency across systems and processes, ensuring alignment with the broader brand strategy—especially when suppliers or resources are shared across departments.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure that workflow routines are followed by all stakeholders, including the Buying Office, supply chain, and key suppliers.
- Act as a central point of coordination between Buying, Design, Pattern, Production, and suppliers to ensure clear, consistent communication and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support the Buying team in building production knowledge and awareness through ongoing learning and development.
- Own and communicate the seasonal timeline and critical path, ensuring all milestones from concept to shipment are met.
- Set and manage the short- and long-term purchasing strategy and assortment planning in line with business goals.
- Ensure the merchandising workflow is executed effectively and supports the overall product and brand strategy.
- Foster a culture of adaptability, learning, and collaboration across teams and with suppliers.
- Promote multi-competence within the department by encouraging cross-functional understanding of purchasing and production
