Meraki Talent is recruiting for a long – standing client in the heart of Edinburgh city centre for the position of Business Advisory/Business Services Manager.

About the Firm:

Our client is a prestigious independent chartered accountancy firm in Edinburgh, blending traditional values with modern, technology-driven solutions. Based in the city’s vibrant financial hub, their team provides tailored services to a diverse client base (£10k-£25m turnover, including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and LLPs). Due to unprecedented growth, our client seek an ambitious Business Services Manager to manage a portfolio of 150 clients and lead a team.

The Role:

As Business Services Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients, lead a team of accountants and support the current Partner. This role offers a platform to drive innovation, shape service delivery and prepare for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and grow relationships with clients, delivering tailored services.
Oversee accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, and bookkeeping, ensuring compliance.
Provide strategic financial advice, including tax planning and growth strategies.
Mentor and supervise staff, fostering their development.
Support business development and client onboarding.
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives via committees.

Who We’re Looking For:

ACCA, ICAS, or equivalent (qualified or part-qualified) with UK accountancy practice experience.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations for small businesses.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
Team management experience preferred but not essential.
Proficient in accounting software.
Proactive, commercially minded and aligned with values of collaboration, integrity, and excellence.
