Fund Accountant/Bookkeeper – Venture Capital Firm, London
We are seeking a detail-orientated and ambitious Fund Accountant/Bookkeeper to play a pivotal supporting the internal finance and fund operations for a Tech focussed VC Firm, as they prepare to launch a new fund. Ideally starting before September
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for VC and PE fund structures
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations for fund entities
- Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
- Work within the Lemonedge fund accounting platform (prior experience not required)
- Support month-end and quarter-end processes, including management accounts
- Assist with the accounts payable process and payment runs (nice to have)
- Collaborate with the Head of Accounting and external advisors on audit and tax deliverables
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
Experience:
- 2–4 years of fund accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within a VC or PE environment (either in-house or with a fund administrator)
- Technically comfortable, with a willingness to work in new platforms (e.g. Lemonedge)
- Strong attention to detail and an organised, proactive approach
- Eager to learn and grow within a small, agile team
- Ideally familiar with accounts payable workflows (not essential)
- Positive, team-oriented, and comfortable in a start-up-like atmosphere
