The General Administration Department’s strategy is to deliver excellent general administrative services to the whole bank covering different functions including facilities, logistic and events, systems, document centralisation and transformation, external affairs, commercial property and security operations, building projects and residential property management. As a Senior Assistant Security Operations and Risk Management – Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for assisting the team lead with the day-to-day security operations responsibilities and tasks along with proving a key role in the departments overall risk management. This is a full time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Form part of Emergency Response Team to ensure that a member of the departments security team is available if an incident arises
- Manage security credentials for all staff that have legitimate access to BOC office
- Co-ordinate and manage department’s risk management framework
- Lead the site security representative group with regular meetings and workshops
- Collect data from various sources to manage and monitor key risk indicators from all locations in the UK
- Manage the physical security planned preventative maintenance program for all locations
- Manage general administrative tasks such as processing invoices for security vendors and ordering security related consumables
- Report key incidents as per the incident management policy when required
- Handle and provide confidential reports for various stakeholders within the bank
- Support the security operations and risk manager with risk assessments including external events
- Assist with security related projects and initiatives and ensure that specifications, timescales and budgets are met
Requirements
- Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant subjects
- Understanding of physical security systems and standards
- Relevant experience gained in security industry
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build good relationships with department and broader organization
- Industry qualification (or willingness to achieve, e.g. PSP, CPP or APP)
- Membership of, or willing to join, a recognised professional security body (e.g. the Security Institute, ASIS)
- Ability to travel to regional branches as and when required
- Understanding of the 3LOD’s risk management framework in the Banking sector
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Able to work in a time critical environment, prioritising and adapt quickly to changing needs
- Able to work independently
