Job Description
As the Laboratory Technician, you will be an individual who is tenacious and hard-working and likes to work in fast paced environments.
Required skills and experience:
- Good IT literacy skills
- Good general standard of education in Science, English and Maths.
- Experience in a similar working environment within a UKAS accredited laboratory (beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given)
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As the laboratory technician, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing on water samples to ensure they meet regulatory and safety standards.
Key activities:
- Conducting microbiological analysis of water samples using a variety of methods and techniques, including PCR and traditional culture methods
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all tests and results
- Participating in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results
- Adhering to all laboratory safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations
