About the Job
We\’re seeking a highly skilled and analytical Wholesale FP&A Manager to join our European finance team. In this role, you\’ll help drive the growth of the organisation by providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics. You\’ll act as a strategic partner to the business, evaluate operational processes and business opportunities, drive profitability, and support planning and forecasting for our European Wholesale business. You\’ll report to the FP&A Director Europe and work closely with members of the finance and accounting teams, as well as cross-functional business partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead full P&L planning (AFP, FCST, SBP), analysis and reporting of the European Wholesale business aligning with cross functional leads (Sales, Analytics, Operations, Planning, Merchandising) and business objectives
- Deliver to the European Sales organization coherent, timely and consistent financial analysis that stimulate discussions on business trends and financial issues. Become an advisor and coach to the Sales organization on all financial aspects
- Analyze sales trends, margins, and operational expenses to provide actionable insights/visibility and support with accurate/timely reporting
- Lead financial discussions in weekly/monthly business update calls working closely with senior management and highlighting any risks/opportunities
- Prepare financial analysis of business model changes to support strategic business decisions
- Possess the passion and demonstrated skills for developing relationships, processes and continuous improvement through proactive collaboration with the teams
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial planning processes
- Manage a diverse team of 4 financial analysts which are fully dedicated to LSE Wholesale Finance Europe
- Stakeholder focus on profitability and productivity (Global initiatives, Optimize discounting/promotional strategies, Opex control, Cost Savings)
- Enhance financial reporting tools and dashboards for better visibility and decision-making
- Independent and entrepreneurial ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Work with business partners and accounting to ensure monthly revenue and Opex accruals are in place. Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls.
- Ensure the results of operations are accurately recorded in the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Support a high-performing Finance team by fostering collaboration and excellence and contribute to the development of finance talents.
About you
- BS/BA in Finance/Business Administration (Master’s degree or ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent experience preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience of financial or business planning, forecasting and analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of team management
- Experience with Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management, Excel a must; SAP preferred
- Communication skills at all levels
- Experience in FMCG sector or with consumer brands of advantage
- Demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of data, including collection, consolidation, analysis, and synthesizing into a cohesive framework
- Broad knowledge of P&L, financial analysis, reporting
- Exceptionally strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration with business partners (especially Commercial partners like Sales, Merchandising and Planning) to monitor results and provide data and analysis with focus on key financial metrics
This is a hybrid position based in either our Offenbach or London office. You will be expected on-site minimum 2 days per week. Time in office can vary depending on business needs.
