We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure a compliant, resilient, and safe estate, delivering an efficient and cost-effective maintenance service focused on ventilation systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing contractors and in-house engineers delegated under your supervision.
- Acting as a specialist on behalf of the Trust for all aspects of Engineering & Building Services, with an emphasis on Ventilation, and ensuring the reliability of infrastructure, systems, and equipment as the AP Ventilation.
- Ensuring maintenance, including contract work, meets standards and specifications, and acting as the Trust Clerk of Works and commissioning specialist for inspections, testing, and commissioning of new and refurbishment works.
- Providing professional and technical estates advice to senior leadership, Trust staff, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory standards, codes, health and safety guidance, and NHS directives related to Estates Services.
- Serving as a point of escalation for critical ventilation systems to ensure service continuity and resilience.
- Leading fault rectification and troubleshooting of critical ventilation systems.
- Supporting operational estates teams and external agencies through effective liaison.
- Deputising for the principal engineer in decision-making, work management, budgeting, and people management.
- Creating and monitoring adherence to ventilation SOPs.
