Research Analyst – Data Manager – Onsite – UK Office(Brock Street) – 12 months (extension is possible)
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Research Analyst to join our Government & Social Impact (GSI) team as a Data Manager based in the UK office. The GSI team supports government, elections, and nonprofit partners globally by managing interconnected data sets to identify and engage dynamic audiences. This role will focus on managing and maintaining civic data sets related to government and political entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and equitable partner support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, review, and maintenance of the Managed Partner Set (MPS), which includes country-specific government and political data.
- Collaborate with regional partner managers to review MPS data, providing recommendations aligned with company policies and guidelines.
- Prepare manual lists through desk research and maintain comprehensive workbooks of government and political data.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of data workbooks.
- Utilize data and analytics skills to review large-scale data sets effectively.
- Upload and manage data within the CRM system.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and product to update and maintain GSI data during elections, ad-hoc requests, and escalations.
- Extract, review, and prepare data from upstream data sets and manual lists for MPS uploads.
- Ensure all partner data and processes comply with company policies and promote equitable support in the government and elections space.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test system updates, monitor data pipeline signals, identify anomalies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze complex support workflows, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend process, policy, and product improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Track and analyze key operational metrics to understand the support ecosystem and prioritize optimization efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in data operations or relevant roles managing large-scale global projects or programs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience analyzing data to provide actionable business insights, including validating dashboards and reports.
- Practical experience reading and querying SQL databases.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and Excel for data extraction, manipulation, and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the government and elections landscape, including international politics, political parties, and national leaders.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and/or statistical software (e.g., R).
- Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Government, or a related field preferred.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to generate recommendations based on data, metrics, and insights.
- Technical expertise in data analytics tools and database querying.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across sales, engineering, and product teams.
- Experience in testing and validating engineering solutions and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with auditing, data governance, and compliance in a technical or government-related context is a plus.
